SYNOPSIS: Our team of academics will present a broad unbiased view of active investing; including a summary of current research, the role for passive investing, benefits and risks of passive investing, and provide background and discussion on the validity of the common ownership issue.  The team will present the current data on Canadian shareholdings prepared exclusively for this event.  Academic presentations will be followed by a panel discussion bringing together the perspectives of academics and asset managers.
