Shannon Thompson is a passionate and caring coach, specializing in supporting clients to create fulfilling careers and take leadership in their lives and organizations. Her coaching guides clients on a journey to discover their strengths, values, and needs, and how to connect with the resourcefulness and inspiration to put ideas into action.
Shannon is professionally trained at the Coaches Training Institute, and is a Member Coach of the International Coaching Federation (ICF). In addition to coaching and lecturing in the Business Edge program at Rotman since cohort 5, she is a coach for Simon Fraser University's Executive Leadership Program. She specializes in supporting internationally educated professionals through her work with mentors and mentees at Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC).
She draws on her prior work as an Executive Director in the non-profit sector, a policy advisor at Toronto City Hall, and as a journalist with the CBC.
