Rotman MBA Named to Poets&Quants Annual List of the “Best and Brightest.”

May 5, 2020

Toronto – A Full Time MBA student who took on both formal and informal leadership roles at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, was named to the sixth annual “Best and Brightest” list of the top 100 MBA students.

Jessica Shannon, MBA’20, was named to the list, which was published this week by Poets&Quants, a business school news site. She played an integral part in coordinating introductory dinners for the Rotman Full Time MBA Class of 2021 as part of their introduction to the Rotman School in partnership with a community centre in Toronto. She also was a co-director of the Rotman Design Challenge, one of the world’s preeminent competition for students from business and design schools.

“From planning ski trips to culinary experiences for her classmates, there isn’t anything that Jessica won’t do to build a stronger Rotman community. Last summer, she volunteered to help chair our annual section dinner experience at a local community centre for her classmates. These dinners require a lot of sweat equity, take months of careful planning and is completely voluntary. It’s one of the most thankless and challenging leadership positions at Rotman,” says Neel Joshi, Director of Student & International Experience.
