Third Annual Rotman Sustainability Conference Will Examine Sustainability and Climate Resiliency.

Toronto – For the third year in a row, the annual Rotman Sustainability Conference returns to the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. Hosted by Rotman Net Impact, a graduate student club focused on sustainability, this year’s event on March 25 will focus sustainability and climate resiliency in the post-COVID-19 era through the lens of government policies, big corporations, and enterprises. Participants will also learn to develop sustainable solutions using business design in a special session from the Business Design Initiative at the Rotman School.  

Ingrid Betancourt, a Colombian politician and former presidential candidate will be the keynote speaker.  

Other panelists and moderators including Richard Blundell, Head of Strategy, Pantonium Inc.,and Rotman School lecturer; Frances Edmonds, Head of Sustainability, HP Canada; Laura Doering, assistant professor of strategic management, Rotman School; David Goodrich, US-based Climate Scientist; Brian Lawson, Vice Chair, Brookfield Asset Management; Apala Mukherjee, President of BASF Canada; and, Peter Thorne, Ireland-based Climate Scientist.  

Organized by Rotman Net Impact, the Rotman Sustainability Conference is generously supported by RBC and the Michael Lee-Chin Family Institute for Corporate Citizenship. The Institute is a cornerstone of the School’s commitment to “creating positive value for business and society.” Since 2004, the Lee-Chin Institute has conducted and supported research to help business leaders - current and future - integrate sustainability into business strategy and practices.
