Evolution of Sports and Entertainment Conference Takes the Stage at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.

Toronto – Evolution of Sports and Entertainment, the sports and entertainment industry conference for graduate students at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management takes place this week. The conference runs over three days from March 30 to April 1 featuring sessions on e-sports, media consumption, corporate partnerships and analytics.  

Highlights include a keynote from Jennifer Bishop, Chair of the Board of Directors, Tennis Canada, and a C-Suite fireside chat with Jacquie Ryan, Chief Brand Officer, Canadian Olympic Committee; Bill Manning, President, Toronto FC & Toronto Argonauts, MLSE; Grant MacDonald, Managing Director, Women's World Hockey Championship, President, GM Events Inc; and, Travis McDonough, President, Kinduct,  

The conference is presented by the Rotman Sports Business Association and Entertainment and Media Association in partnership with the Rotman School’s TD Management Data and Analytics Lab.

General admission tickets, including video links to all sessions, are $10 with proceeds going to Canadian sports foundations including Jays Care Foundation and MLSE Foundation. 

The Rotman Sports Business Association aims to promote sports business careers, help students build a sports business network and provide career opportunities in various fields in the sports industry. 

The Entertainment & Media Association is a student-led club, curating opportunities, events, and other programming for students to get in touch with the entertainment and media industry. 

The TD Management Data and Analytics Lab at the Rotman School promotes cutting-edge analytic tools in business through teaching and research, and is a central source of knowledge and expertise in data science, AI, and machine learning applications.
