Alvaro grew up in Ecuador and moved to Chile, where he completed his Bachelor's Degree in business administration. He then worked for six years in asset management as a regional bank's portfolio manager of local fixed-income funds. Finally, he decided to study for an MBA to broaden his scope and navigate other industries and role opportunities. In the summer of 2022, Alvaro interned in the international banking productivity team at Scotiabank.

For his summer internship, Andrew worked at CIBC Capital Markets as an Investment Banking Summer Associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions group. He will return to the CIBC M&A team next year after graduation.

Angie is a Chemical Engineer that has performed business analysis in Private Equity and Venture Capital for diverse sectors such as real estate and mining in Mexico, U.S., and Canada. She is pursuing to transition into a financial role in the banking industry. During the last summer, she served her internship at CIBC in the Graduate Leadership Development Program, contributing to the Ontario Credit Risk Management team. She is passionate about learning from women and helping other women to pursue their personal and professional goals. She would like to create an impact in the financial services industry by bringing her experience, breaking the stigma of women as leaders and collaborating with her team for the common good.

Chandan Sejekan is passionate about empowering and unlocking the full potential of high-performance teams and businesses. Thus far, he has explored a career in Academia, Engineering Design and Consulting. As a Principal at Impact Consulting Group, he runs Rotman’s student-led consulting firm and oversees the end-to-end life cycle of consulting engagements in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. As an MBA Candidate at Rotman School of Management, he hopes to pair his engineering mindset with the business acumen for strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship. As a licensed Professional Engineer, he has over 5 years of experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams to design and assess safety-critical systems for multi-billion-dollar subway infrastructure projects under intense timelines. During that time, he honed his problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills, while consistently generating target metrics and positive client feedback.

José Ignacio Pérez Ballester is a Marketing Professional, with five years of experience in both the automotive and beverage industries. He has a Bachelor’s in BA and Accounting from the Argentina’s Catholic University. José was a former Assistant Professor of Product and Brand Strategy in the Bachelor of Marketing at Argentina’s Catholic University. As well as a former Young Wing President of the Christian Association of Business Leaders (ACDE). He is currently a Rotman 2023 MBA Candidate, he holds the elected position of President of the Graduate Business Council (GBC). This past summer José interned at Procter & Gamble in Market Strategy & Planning for the Canadian Oral Care Business. He is the current president of the Rotman Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Association (REVCA) and president of the Rotman Book Club (RBC). Prior to Rotman, he worked at the University of Waterloo start-up incubator and briefly as a translator for his favourite soccer team Manchester United.

Prior to his MBA, he worked in sales and account management in the CPG industry and product management at an early-stage startup. After a brief entrepreneurial stint during his bachelor's, he worked with start-ups and auto giants including Suzuki and MG Motor. His core experiences include data-driven strategy, operational excellence, change management, and consumer insights. After exploring an internal strategy role this summer, Rishi will start a strategy consulting career post-MBA. At Rotman, he is specializing in both Strategy, and Innovation, Design, & Entrepreneurship.

Shivina Jagtiani is a 2nd Year MBA student at the Rotman School of Management. She is the Co-President of the Rotman Net Impact club. On the education front, she holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Master of Commerce, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. Before coming to Rotman, she worked in Corporate Fraud Investigations at EY and Social Impact Consulting at Samhita. This summer, Shivina did her internship at McKinsey & Co.

Souha did her undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a double-concentration in Marketing and Management and a Minor in Creative Writing. She started her career in Consulting at the UN World Food Programme’s HQ in Rome, an organization (and city) she's dreamt of throughout her teen years. While Souha loved every second of it, she quickly realized she needed the creative freedom that came with Marketing, so she shifted into Brand Management and Strategy roles at Johnson & Johnson and Twitter in Dubai. Souha is extremely passionate about the importance of prioritizing mental health, both in the workplace and in our everyday lives, and is always open to discussing stress management strategies.

Swathi Ramnarayan is a 2023 candidate of the Full-Time Rotman MBA program. She is a passionate believer in the power of marketing and communications to create immense value. Prior to the MBA, she was a public relations consultant at a global agency in Singapore, and is keen to pivot to a marketing strategy role in Toronto. Having lived across four countries, diversity and inclusion is a topic she holds close to her heart - she now serves as VP of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at the Graduate Business Council at Rotman.

Taner is a Rotman MBA Candidate coming from Istanbul, Turkey. He has his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Bogazici University. After his undergraduate studies, he joined a multinational construction company in the Middle East. During his tenure, he negotiated for and closed several multi-million-dollar deals, orchestrated various construction activities, and managed multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders. For his internship, Taner joined the product management team at Simplii Financial, the largest growing digital bank in Canada. At Simplii, he leveraged his analytical and project management skills to articulate and lead product strategies that meet customer needs, achieve business objectives, and are feasible. Taner has visited ten countries and lived across four different cities. Ask him about product management, career switching, the Middle East vs. North American culture, or simply the best bakery to buy the most delicious cakes in Toronto.

Yvonne was born in China and grew up in the UK. Within the past five years, she participated in interesting roles and projects as part of JP Morgan Chase, including launching the company’s first digital retail bank outside of the US, and developing the revenue strategy for new products. Yvonne is a CDL fellow with passion for startups, influenced by her father who is an entrepreneur. She joined McKinsey & Company as Associate Intern in 2022.
