The schedule has been designed for personal and professional flexibility. The content will be delivered using a blended delivery model that weaves together in-class and on-site learning, with online support.

We will hold 3 to 4-hour “live”/synchronous online Saturday sessions, with breaks, from mid-morning to early afternoon (EST). These sessions will offer a mix of highly interactive and experiential learning opportunities, often joined by guest speakers. All online sessions will be recorded to add to the HLS learning library. Students are expected to attend all in-person and online sessions, though accommodations can be made for unanticipated and unavoidable absences.

Program topics and courses

You’ll earn a top-tier MBA from one of the world’s leading business schools, with courses customized and designed for the healthcare and life sciences professional. The program’s 23 courses are structured in five modules. These include 14 core MBA curriculum courses (contextualized to the healthcare and life sciences sector) and nine sector-specific courses, plus optional extra courses with Rotman's Creative Destruction Lab.

The program is delivered in a flexible hybrid model of face-to-face and online learning. Online learning includes classes every Saturday as well as pre- and post-module work for the residency courses. Learners also work on assignments, group deliverables and exams.

Rotman employs diverse learning methods, including case studies, lectures, teamwork, online study, simulations and experiential learning. This ensures that the curriculum can respond to rapidly changing developments. Participants also bring their own workplace challenges into the classroom, and these become part of the discussion.

Since its launch in 2012, the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) has become one of the world's fastest-growing venture labs, creating over $30 billion of equity. Early-stage ventures from all over the world apply to work with the CDL, with many coming out of the research programs of leading global universities. Selected MBA students, along with some of Canada's most successful entrepreneurs, play a vital role by providing strategic insights and business development support. Of particular interest to students is the CDL's health stream, focusing on science and technology solutions aimed at improving human health and wellness.
