Why did you decide to study the Master of Management Analytics program?

I chose to study the Master of Management Analytics program for a few reasons. I understood that the demand is high for people who can do work related to analytics and data science. This made me feel that there will be opportunities to put my skills into practice once I complete my degree.

Another reason for choosing the MMA was that I wanted to feel excited about my profession. I found the premise of applying machine learning techniques to business problems to be an exciting idea, especially since the field is still in its early stages. Furthermore, I imagined how empowering it would be to gain skills related to uncovering useful information from data. Something I hope can be applied to multiple aspects of my life.

What were your top reasons for choosing Rotman?

I felt that Rotman had a strong network of industry professionals and alumni which could help me to capitalize on the opportunities that exist in the analytics and data science field. Rotman also finds itself conveniently located within the Toronto-Waterloo tech corridor, a region with many exciting opportunities.

What are you looking forward to most in the program?

I am most enthusiastic about working on my practicum project. I look forward to collaborating with a team of my classmates to produce a unique solution for our practicum sponsor. My practicum is sponsored by Teranet and National Bank.
