Why did you decide to join the Master of Management Analytics program?
After having mostly taken Economics, Computer Science, and Mathematics courses during my undergraduate program, I knew I wanted to pursue a career where I could work with numbers and data every day. During my internships, I had further developed an appreciation for the importance of data-driven decision making. While reflecting on my past experiences and exploring my various interests, I found my passion for data analytics and developing creative solutions to the most complex business problems.
Since I did not have any formal data science training, I wanted to equip myself with the necessary technical and analytical skills before the start of my career. The MMA program would provide me with the perfect balance between the business and technical training that I craved, along with invaluable hands-on experience through the Practicum project.

What are you looking forward to the most in the program?
I am most looking forward to applying my in-class learnings to a real-life business problem during the Practicum project. Additionally, I look forward to learning from my fellow classmates and their diverse backgrounds and experiences.
What do you expect to gain in your next 11 months at Rotman?
In the next 11 months, I hope to develop a deep understanding of the latest trends and techniques in machine learning and AI. I would also like to develop strong, long-lasting connections with my classmates, professors, and newly-built professional network.
