Agile Innovation

Evidence of innovation and readiness are everywhere lately. Whether it’s the local restaurant pivoting quickly to family style meals handed to you curbside, a small business that has scaled its online operation on a shoestring budget, or musicians performing to you live from their homes – it’s not hard to find inspiring examples of all kinds of people determined to survive physical distancing and save their livelihoods.

At the heart of innovation is a connection made between two people: one providing a service or product that is valued by the other. Some of us are born with an instinct for that sort of matchmaking – we often describe them as visionaries, or successful entrepreneurs.

However, we will all need to nurture and develop that innovative muscle to look for opportunities in this new emerging normal. We’ll need to become more open to new ideas and look to make the kinds of connections needed to release a successful product, improve the service we provide to our customers, or optimize a process.

We have designed a program to help you do just that. You can learn these critical skills from home without sacrificing the benefits of communal support. In a virtual environment, you’ll network with peers and receive real-time feedback from Canada’s first PhD in Innovation Pedagogy, Rotman’s own Angele Beausoleil.

The program runs for 7 intensive hours across two days. You will assess your own openness to innovation, get research-informed tools for improving your innovation readiness, and practice and challenge your innovative capacity along with your peers. At the end, you will receive a Rotman Executive Programs Certificate which will demonstrate to the world that you are ready to bring your expanded capacity as an innovator to your company or future employer.
