New Faculty Appointed at UofT’s Rotman School of Management.

Toronto – Four appointments have been made at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management for the 2015/16 academic year.
 
Christopher Kobrak has been appointed as the Wilson/Currie Chair of Canadian Business and Financial History, for a five-year term. For the past two years he has been the chairholder and a professor of finance at the Rotman School.  He is also professor emeritus of finance at ESCP Europe, Paris.  He holds an MBA in finance and accounting as well as a PhD in business history, both from Columbia University in New York.  A CPA, his business experience includes public accounting and international finance for a multinational pharmaceutical company.  An International Fellow at the Centre for Corporate Reputation, Oxford University, he serves on the editorial boards of several business history journals.  
 
Andrey Golubov joins the Rotman School as an assistant professor of finance from the Cass Business School in London, UK where he was an assistant professor of finance. Holding a PhD in finance from the University of Surrey, his research interests are in the field of empirical corporate finance including mergers and acquisitions, equity issuance, corporate governance and investment banking.
 
Maja Djikic has been appointed as an CLTA Associate Professor at the Rotman School, where she has worked with the Rotman School’s Self Development Lab. She is a psychologist specializing in the field of personality development. She has been a post-doctoral fellow with the School’s Desautels Centre for Integrative Thinking as well as the Psychology Department at Harvard University. She has published more than 25 articles and book chapters in the area of personality development.
 
Scott Rutherford has also been appointed as an CLTA Associate Professor (effective on September 1, 2014) at the Rotman School. A graduate of the Rotman MBA program, he currently serves as the Executive Director of the Leadership Development Lab and teaches courses in management consulting and business problem solving. Previously he worked with Mobius Executive Leadership and McKinsey & Company.
 
Four more faculty who have been hired by the Department of Management at either the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) or the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) will also be cross-appointed to the Rotman School.
 
Mariana Khapko will be an assistant professor of finance at UTSC.  
 
Avni Shah will be an assistant professor of marketing at UTSC.
 
Laura Derkson will be an assistant professor of strategic management at UTM.  
 
Andreas Park will be an associate professor of finance at UTM.
