Evolution of Sports and Entertainment Conference Returns to the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.

Toronto – Evolution of Sports and Entertainment, the annual sports and entertainment industry conference for graduate students at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School returns this month with sessions on March 30 and 31.  As we are beginning to emerge from the global pandemic that shook the world, this year’s conference asks what does the future look like for the sports and entertainment industry?

Attendees will hear from industry experts on topics including: strategies in media and entertainment, effective marketing tactics in sports and entertainment, the future of live events, and more. A partial list of speakers include: Jason Badal, Vice President and General Manager Canada, Direct-to-Consumer, The Walt Disney Company; Stephanie Wilson Chapin, Senior Director, Digital, Bell Media; Nathalie Burri, Vice President, Events & Operations, Canada Basketball; Jasmine Mander of Canada Soccer; and a panel on MBA Career Pathways in Sports and Media features current and past Rotman MBA students Ryan Knapp, MBA’23, Manager, Partnership Development, Toronto Blue Jays;  Lucas Lima, MBA’22, Manager, Brands – Consulting, Wasserman; and Justine Tainsh, MBA'21,  Senior Manager, Marketing Partnerships - Sports & Entertainment, Mediacom.

The conference is presented by the Rotman Sports Business Association and Entertainment and Media Association.

The Rotman Sports Business Association aims to promote sports business careers, help students build a sports business network and provide career opportunities in various fields in the sports industry.

The Entertainment & Media Association is a student-led club, curating opportunities, events, and other programming for students to get in touch with the entertainment and media industry.
