Rotman School Graduates Receive Emerging Leaders Award from WCM.

Toronto – Eight graduate of programs at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School were among the recipients of the 2022 Emerging Leaders Award from WCM announced this week.

The program provides exceptional mid-level women working in the finance industry with coaching, career enrichment, and networking opportunities. Established in 1995, WCM works to accelerate equity, diversity and inclusion in finance by amplifying diverse talent, building the industry’s equity literacy, and uniting firms to drive change on an industry-level.

Programs from which the recipients graduated include Rotman Commerce, Master of Financial Risk Management, Master of Finance and MBA. The graduates are:

• Agnes Chang, MFRM’17, Principal, Insurance-Linked Securities, Capital Markets, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan;

• Laura Garzon, BCom’14, MFin’20, Director, CIBC Capital Markets;

• Jennifer Granatstein, MBA’16, Vice President, Strategy & Transformation, RBC Capital Markets;

• Eva Luk, BCom’12, Vice President, Risk Solutions Group, RBC Capital Markets;

• Talisa Kean-Newland, BCom’13, Director, Finance, Onex;

• Zarqaa Shaikh, MBA’18, Associate Portfolio Manager, OPTrust;

• Akmaral (Mara) Yermagambetova, MBA’22, Money Market Trader, Associate, MUFG Bank Ltd; and,

• Yurisleidy (Yuri) Zoreda, MBA’20, Equity Research Associate, Canaccord Genuity.
