Why did you decide to join the Master of Management Analytics program?

I came from a finance undergraduate background, hoping to further enhance my technical and quantitative skills and kick-start my career in risk management through an intensive master's program. Therefore, I was seeking a program that integrates advanced finance curricula with practical applications of industry-focused technical skills, such as quantitative modelling and machine learning. The MFRM program is an ideal choice for me, as it combines technology and finance.

Top Reason(s) for choosing Rotman:

I chose Rotman because of its extensive alumni networks, comprehensive career services, and the opportunity to learn from a diverse cohort through collaborative projects. The invaluable connections with successful Rotman alumni through networking events, combined with career-focused resources, help me stay updated with the latest industry trends.

What are you looking forward to the most in the program?

I look forward to the 3-month industry project and various case competitions the most. Having several co-op experiences during undergraduate, I gradually found out the importance of applying what you learned into real practices. Hands-on industry projects and case competitions are best opportunities to enhance technical skills and build up professional networks.

What do you expect to gain during your time at Rotman?

I hope to develop my technical skills, including python programming and quantitative trading, meanwhile improve my interpersonal skills such as networking and public speaking skills through case competitions and industry projects.
