Master of Management Analytics Program at UofT’s Rotman School of Management Selected as Finalist for UPS George D. Smith Prize.

Toronto – The Master of Management Analytics program at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management (Rotman MMA) is one of three finalists for an award, which recognizes excellence in preparing students to become practitioners of operations research and analytics. 

The winner of the UPS George D. Smith Prize will be announced on Monday, April 4 at the 2022 INFORMS Business Analytics Conference. The prize is awarded to an academic department or program for effective and innovative preparation of students to be good practitioners of operations research and analytics.

The Rotman MMA is a rigorous one-year program aimed at recent university graduates and early career professionals, and provides students with advanced data management, analytical and communication skills. Developed in consultation with analytical professionals in industry, the program combines training in the use of predictive and prescriptive analytics tools as they apply to multi-faceted managerial problems. A practicum project, pairs students with an organization to tackle a real-world business problem, runs throughout the program. Students are also exposed to the latest developments in artificial intelligence, big data, machine learning, cybersecurity, and deep learning through an ongoing colloquium to incorporate the forefront of thinking in data analytics.
