Summer Fellow, Cleveland Clinic

Cleveland Clinic is a global non-profit healthcare organization with healthcare facilities across the globe (UK, Canada, Dubai, and more). The organization is known for its quality, service, research, patient care, and innovation excellence. Cleveland Clinic Canada has outpatient operations in two locations in Canada, nation-wide telehealth services and an advisory services team. The advisory services group provides strategic support to large corporations to help companies reduce organizational risk, improve overall employee health and safety, and drive company performance. The team has been growing rapidly, both in terms of the team size and its client base. The organization is committed to helping people live healthier, more active lives.

As a part of the advisory services team, the summer fellow works closely with team leadership on a large project for the organization. The fellow will own specific workstreams and projects, drawing upon their own interests and business need. Projects could involve knowledge pieces, client-facing strategies /initiatives or even development of the advisory teams’ services. Through this work, the Cleveland Clinic team will ensure that the fellow gains experience in:

Leading a strategic workstream
Establishing and managing stakeholder relationships, including access to senior management
Addressing program and client level issues
Developing and monitoring measurements

Recent fellows have developed knowledge pieces on mental health in the pandemic, safe return to work, maternal health, and benchmarking. Others have developed COVID-19 dashboards that have been published in a national newspaper.
