Why did you decide to join the Master of Financial Risk Management program?

Throughout my undergraduate career at Rotman Commerce, I found myself drawn to both Finance and Technology. I began searching for an area where the two would intersect and discovered that the MFRM program is precisely what I am looking for. As our academic director said, "MFRM empowers future leaders with cutting-edge knowledge of finance and technology to drive success through risk management." At MFRM, I hope to further hone my technical abilities and leverage my prior knowledge of Finance.

Top Reason(s) for choosing Rotman:

The number 1 reason for choosing Rotman, aside from the obvious advantage of being in the heart of Toronto, was its alumni network. I hoped to tap into Rotman's esteemed network to further develop my understanding of my areas of interest and find opportunities to achieve my career goals.

What are you looking forward to the most in the program?

Within the current MFRM '23 cohort, we have students from a myriad of backgrounds (chemical engineering, actuarial science, mathematics, and many more). Because of this diversity of backgrounds, I was especially excited about learning WITH and FROM my peers during projects and collaborations.

What do you expect to gain in your next 10 months at Rotman?

By the end of the program, I hope to have built relationships that last a lifetime with my peers and be confident in my ability to apply technological solutions to efficiently resolve challenges within Finance and Risk Management.
