Why did you decide to join the Master of Management Analytics program?

I have been extremely interested in the field of Data Science and Analytics since high school. During my undergraduate program, I had the opportunity to work on a few academic projects dealing with data directly. This led me to take a particular interest in the application of analytics to guide business decisions.

While my degree in Computer Science equipped me with the basic technical skills to reach data-driven solutions, I knew I needed to strengthen my understanding of how real-world businesses approach these problems. The MMA program offered a well-rounded syllabus that not only balances technical and management skills, but also puts significant emphasis on getting hands-on experience with the practicum project.

Top reason(s) for choosing Rotman:

  1. Emphasis on applying technical skills for every aspect of management
  2. Practicum project
  3. Experienced faculty
  4. Designed to accommodate people with less professional experience
  5. Career Services and industry awareness

What are you looking forward to the most in the program?

A month into the program, I am looking forward to starting the practicum project. I am also looking forward to returning to in-person classes and working with my peers.

What do you expect to gain in your next 11 months at Rotman?

In the next 11 months I hope to have a better understanding of how analytics is applied end to end. I hope to expand my network and make lifelong connections within the Rotman community.
