Why did you decide to study the Master of Management Analytics program?

I had been working as a business analyst for two years in UnitedHealth Group before joining this program. During my tenure, I was introduced to some interesting concepts of analytics and I was amazed to see how analytics could be applied to solve real life problems. Later on, I realized that I wanted to pursue a career in  business analytics. A masters in management analytics was the next logical step for me.

What were your top reasons for choosing Rotman?

Although this program has just commenced, the quality and the structure of the course attracted me. This program allowed me to not only pursue in-depth analytics but also stay aligned with the management practices. The course structure is really good, and the faculty is excellent.  Plus since it’s a one year program, I shall be done with my masters in a shorter time and I can start earning back again. Lastly, Its always a proud feeling to be associated with one of the best b-schools in the world.

What are you looking forward to most in the program?

I am working with CIBC as a part of my practicum project. This project requires us to work with the bank until next year on an analytical project. I am really looking forward to solving a real business problem in the real world. Moreover, the best part is that I didn’t have to apply anywhere myself. I was allotted the company by Rotman based on my area of interest.
